About Repsol

Repsol is a global multi-energy supplier that is working to facilitate the transition to an energy model with lower emissions by contributing solutions that improve efficiency and focusing on natural gas, the generation of low-emissions electricity, new sustainable forms of mobility, and self-consumption, among others.

Repsol employs more than 25,000 persons, has assets in 35 countries, and its products are sold in over 90 countries, reaching 10 million consumers.

It produces over 700,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and has one of Europe’s most efficient refining systems, which is capable of processing more than one million barrels of crude daily.  The use of gas as a key energy for the energy transition, the focus on the circular economy, and the use of renewable energies in its industrial processes are some of the cornerstones of its strategy to achieve a more decarbonized economy in coming years.

The company is fully committed to the fight against climate change. Its goal is to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, being the first company in its sector to adopt this ambitious target. To do so, Repsol has aligned its strategy, investments, and business plans with the climate change targets of the Paris Agreement, in addition to mapping out a decarbonization path with intermediate targets for 2020 to 2040.

The company also operates low-emissions electricity generation assets, with a portfolio totaling 5,600 MW. It currently has 2,952 MW in operation and another 1,083 MW under development, to which new investments to incorporate and construct an additional 1,600 MW will be added. The goal is to reach a low-carbon generation capacity of 7,500 MW by 2025.

With over one million customers, Repsol is an important player in the electricity and gas market in Spain. It offers electricity certified as 100% low-emissions, solutions based on digitization, and services with high added value, such as renewable self-generation.

The company distributes and sells fuels and lubricants through more than 4,800 service stations in Spain, Portugal, Peru, Italy, and Mexico. In turn, it is the leader in the Liquified Petrol Gas (LPG) market in Spain and one of the most prominent players in Portugal.

To encourage sustainable mobility, the company is focusing on the development of more efficient fuels and the deployment at its services stations of new electric charging points, autogas, compressed natural gas, and liquefied natural gas.

Technology and digitization are mainstays of the company, which is a leader in innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in the energy sector. It develops proprietary technology at its research center, the Repsol Technology Lab, collaborates with prestigious partners, and has various investment funds for participating in startups that offer solutions related to advanced mobility, new materials, the circular economy, and digital technologies.

Repsol is a leading organization in workplace flexibility and work-life balance measures. The company promotes forms of flexible work that are adapted to people’s needs, where results and achievement of objectives are the most important considerations. Its workforce includes workers of 84 different nationalities.
