Privalia was founded as an online fashion outlet in 2006, in Barcelona, by Lucas Carné and José Manuel Villanueva, offering daily sales of top brands at exceptional prices and exclusively for its customers, thus achieving its mission to inspire people every day to look better and save money. Since April 2016, Privalia has belonged to the French group vente-privee, now Veepee, creator and world leader of the flash sales concept (limited quantities of branded products, at deeply discounted prices, available for limited periods). Veepee has evolved from a specialist in general online clearance of major brands to a multi-specialist, expert in all the areas in which it operates: from fashion to home and decor, accessories, sports, children, travel, entertainment, leisure, beauty, wine and gastronomy. Veepee’s partnership with 7,000 brands allows it to offer the best discounts on the recommended retail price. With 5,000 employees and present in 10 countries, Veepee reached a turnover of 3.2 billion euros in 2023. The Veepee group operates in Spain with the Veepee and Privalia platforms.
