What is González Byass?

tiopepe2González Byass is a family-run winery founded in 1835 and dedicated to the preparation of wines and brandies from Jerez. Brands as well known as the Tío Pepe sherry, oenological gems such as Noé or Apóstoles, or the Lepanto solera gran reserva brandy have enshrined it as one of the leading wineries of the world. Tradition, investigation and the quest for the utmost quality are the pillars on which González Byass has focused its work, backed by almost 200 years’ experience.

Following this same path, for more than 30 years now González Byass has turned itself into a family of wines, incorporating wines from emblematic areas to faithfully represent the wine diversity of Spain. Beronia Wineries – in Ollauri, La Rioja; Cavas Vilarnau – in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Barcelona; Constancia Estate – in Otero, Toledo; Moncloa Estate – in Arcos de la Frontera, Cadiz; and the Vero Vineyards – in Somontano, Huesca – are just some examples. Here too, the Family also produces the Chinchón anisette, liquors made from the Granpecher and Granpomier fruit, and the top-of-the-range spirits that include The London Nº1 Gin, Nomad Outland Whisky, Druide Vodka and the Nicaraguan Flor de Caña Rum, this last item distributed exclusively in the Spanish market.

From its outset, González Byass has displayed a clear vocation for export, and the United Kingdom imports most of the company’s sales. The firm’s products are currently available in 102 countries around the world, and it has offices in Spain, the UK, Mexico, the USA and China.
